Year 2
Year 2's visit to the Royal Pump Rooms to learn more about our local town, Leamington Spa.
The children learnt all about Samuel Lockhart and the circus elephants, The Three Graces, that he brought to the town during Victorian times. The children completed a trail in the museum, spent some time sketching in the gallery and made clay elephants to take home as a keepsake. They also went to Jephson's Gardens to find the elephant bench. Mrs Rose was particularly proud when two separate members of the public came up to her and said how incredibly focused the children were working. In addition to this, our tour guide said that he had never worked with such an outstandingly well-behaved and well-mannered group. They certainly did Barford proud and what a wonderful way to start our new topic!
