Year 1

Welcome to Year One!

Welcome to our Year 1 page! Our teacher is Miss Baker and our teaching assistants are Mrs Bunn and Mrs Moore. 

 

In Year 1 we study a range of fascinating topics including: Toys, The Gunpowder Plot, Brilliant Barford and Africa

 

Reading is at the heart of our Barford St Peter's curriculum and our high-quality class texts this year include Dogger by Shirley Hughes and Handa's Surprise by Eileen Browne.

 

We will keep you updated with our learning in our newsletters, twitter and shared learning events.

  • Hit the Button Sharpen up your counting in 2's, 5's and 10's; and also your doubles and halves here!
  • Small Town Heroes Join the Small Town Heroes and be a punctuation superhero! There are lots of fun games to play here.
