Year 4 trip to the Black Country Living Museum

Full CalendarCalendar Dates

This event will take place on 12/02/2026

Dear Parents,

I am delighted to be able to confirm that we have booked our class trip to the Black Country Living Museum on Thursday 12th February 2026.

As part of our work on the Industrial Revolution and life in Victorian times, children will explore what working in a mine was like in the 1800s. They will take part in an interactive show demonstrating the dangers miners faced, how safety improved, and how inventions like the Davy Lamp helped protect workers.

We are asking for a non-refundable contribution of £24.17 per child, this will cover a tour, workshop and coach travel. Please make the payment of £24.17 before Thursday 15th January 2026 via ParentPay. Unfortunately, if we do not receive enough payments to cover the full cost of the trip will be cancelled and all money paid will be refunded.  If you are experiencing financial difficulties in covering the cost of this trip, please write to us in confidence to request support at admin3587@welearn365.com prior to Thursday 15th January 2026.

You will also need to give your consent for your child to take part in this visit via ParentPay by Thursday 15th January 2026.

On the day, children will need to wear full school uniform. Please provide your child with a packed lunch (no nuts or fizzy drinks or large bags of sweets please) and a bottle of water.

If your child is entitled to free school meals and you would like us to provide a packed lunch, please click on the link below and complete the form by Thursday 15th January 2026.
