In celebration of Sir David Attenborough’s 100th Birthday we are planning to hold a ‘David Attenborough Day’ on Thursday 7th May.

During the day in school children will take part in a range of activities both indoors and outdoors, including planting a sunflower seed to bring home.
We would like to invite children to come into school on that day dressed as their favourite animal or in any bright colours to represent our wonderful natural environment.

One of the activities we plan to do with the children is to create a painting of an insect or animal onto a stone. We would therefore be most grateful if you could send your child in with a medium sized stone on the day as well. Approximately 6cm to 10cm in length would be ideal but any stone that can be painted onto would be great. If you happen to have any spare stones we would be grateful for those too!
