Autumn - Maya and Chocolate

We have looked at replicating an image by experimenting with making dark/ light tones using different types of pencil and charcoal

23.9.24 Science - Today in Science, Year 5 made parachutes and dropped them from a height. We timed to see how fast they fell to the floor, we discovered that the best parachutes were the ones that fell the slowest, creating the most air resistance.

16.9.24 Today in science, Year 5 looked at how the mass (how heavy an object is) effects it’s weight (gravitational pull). We found the heavier the mass the more gravitational pull (Newtons) act upon it.

10.9.24 PE - Today we discussed how warm ups and cool downs are important when exercising and then we completed some high intensity circuit exercises

10.9.24 L.I To read and write numbers up to 1,000,000. Today we used place value grids and counters.
