Thank you to everyone who came along and supported our Summer Fair! The sun shone and a wonderful time was had by all!
Friends Association of Barford School (FABS) is here to really enhance your child’s experience at school – both in the school environment and out and about.
FABS committee is made up of a group of parents who give whatever time they can to organise fundraising events and initiatives throughout the year. Every parent becomes a member of FABS when their child starts school – so a big welcome!
FABS aims to raise around £11,000 each year, providing Chromebooks to enrich learning in the classroom as well as specific needs for the school such as upgrades to the outside areas with planting and furniture. And lots, lots more!
As a parent or carer of a child in the school, you are automatically a member of FABS. If you think you would like to get more actively involved, please have a chat with one of the members of the committee above and we can tell you more.
The AGM takes place in September each year, usually in school with Mrs Baker (President of FABS), the outgoing committee and any new potential committee members – plus anyone else who would like to attend. The objective of the AGM is to vote in the committee as well as discussing future fundraising events.
We’re currently planning a programme of events for the Autumn Term – all dependent on being able to provide a Covid-safe environment. Events range from school discos, film nights, quiz nights, tea and coffee mornings and seasonal fetes. There are always lots of opportunities for you to help including:
There are lots of different ways you can find out the latest FABS news and events...
